First I must note that this is a review on buying from thredUP....not selling. I have not tried selling on it yet so I don't know too much about it.
A friend recently introduced me to the website thredUP. As someone that's always happy to find a way to shop that doesn't require me to carry a cranky toddler around the store, I was intrigued and had to check it out. ThredUP sells gently used name-brand clothing, shoes, and handbags at an affordable price.

Well hold on...when I say gently used, I mean it! They're very picky about the quality of clothing they accept. Most items are in like new condition, and the one or two items that I ordered that were marked as having a minor flaw still looked brand new to me..I honestly couldn't find the flaw.
This website is fun, but it is also dangerous. If you see something you like, you feel pressured to order right away because that item is not likely going to be there for long. I now know not to go to this website unless I am okay with spending some money, because on all three occasions I have visited the website I ended up placing an order!

Shipping is $2.99 for the first item and .99 each additional item, and free if you spend over $50. Or, if you know you're going to be shopping there a lot, you can pay a one time $19.99 fee and that will cover your shipping for the rest of the year.
Returns unfortunately are not free at the moment, unless you order from their mobile app. I'm hoping in time as the site becomes more popular they will offer free returns period...because I don't know about you, but when it comes to ordering clothes online, I end up returning more than I keep. Just like shopping at a store, you're not going to like everything you try on.
